I n 2 0 0 0 / 2001 he was a Fulbright Fellow at Stanford, working with Richard Rorty and Marjorie Perloff. One of the central interests of his research is the area of multiple influences between Polish and American poetry, primarily the influence of New York poets in Poland from 1980s onwards. His book on John Ashbery (In Search of Communication and Community: the Poetry of John Ashbery) was published by Peter Lang in 2006. He is a poet in the Polish language. He published two volumes of poetry. His essays and poems have appeared in numerous literary magazines in Poland. He has also published his work in some American periodicals. As an extension of his academic pursuits, he participates in literary events and festivals in Poland. He has maintained extended cooperation with Literatura na Swiecie, Polands most important journal of literary translation.
