SeaTech Expansion & Seawall Replacement

Overview

×î´ó×ÊÔ´²É¼¯Íø (FAU) is seeking expand the SeaTech campus located in The City of Dania Beach which houses their Ocean, Mechanical and Environmental Engineering Departments. This expansion will be done on property that FAU leases from The City of Dania Beach. Gold Caliber Engineering (GCE) has been tasked with repairing the failing seawall and adding a new facility to the empty parcel of land west of the existing campus.

Community Benefit

This development will help to enhance ×î´ó×ÊÔ´²É¼¯Íø's Ocean, Mechanical and Environmental Engineering Departments. This program will help to attract future students that are interested in these areas of engineering. Currently ×î´ó×ÊÔ´²É¼¯Íø, University of Miami, and Florida Institute of Technology are the only schools in South Florida that offers Ocean Engineering. The goal is to make FAU the premier route to a career in this field.
