COLLABORATIVE STUDY OF GREEN TURTLE HEALTH IN LAKE WORTH LAGOON

FAU's Harbor Branch Annie Page, Ph.D., and collaborators at FAU鈥檚 Department of Biological Sciences, Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Inwater Research Group, and East Coast Biologists, Inc. were awarded a grant for their project Green turtle health, biotoxin exposure, and foraging ecology in Lake Worth Lagoon, Florida.
听
This project focuses on relating green sea turtle health to HAB-associated biotoxins in the Lake Worth Lagoon system, an urbanized waterway in south Florida.
听
FAU Master's student Hunter Brown, pictured here, will use data from this project for his graduate thesis work on understanding the health effects of biotoxin exposure to free-ranging green sea turtles in Florida.
