University Galleries Director V茅ronique C么t茅 engaged us with an incredible discussion of artist multimedia exhibition in the University Galleries.
First Faculty Affiliate First Friday event of Fall 2025!
Dr. Lotus Seeley 听gave an engaged talk about gardens and how gender plays into this very modern phenonmenon, particularly with "plant moms" and "plant daddies" on social media. Additionally, we announced that she was the recipient of our first ever听Faculty Affiliate of the Year Award 听for AY 2024-2025 for her exceptional service to WGSS and dedication to our graduate students.
Fall 2021 End of Semester Celebration on Monday
Invited WGSS Faculty, greadute students and affiliates our first in-person gathering in Democracy Plaza and celebrated the end of the semester and have the opportunity to socialize and connect beyond the confines of Zoom. (December 13th, 2021).
A panel dicussion with听 , FAU Economics Senior Instructor; discussed gender inequality and present her current data to help women understand the economic impact that they need to factor into life decisions today. Then听 听Joseph Abruzzo, provided helpful information on the services his office provides, including the Self-Service Center and online services (November 4th, 2021).
Rosebud: Poetry Reading and Q&A
A reading of award-winning poetry by queer Latinx Jewish poet Rosebud Ben-Oni, followed by a Q&A with the artist. PJHR and WGSS co-organized this in response to the concerns many in the PJHR community expressed at our recent town hall meetings about President Trump鈥檚 recent Executive Order on Combating Race and Sex Stereotyping and the detrimental effects this could have on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within higher education, as well as academic freedom (Ocotober 28th, 2020).
