Your ePermit allows you to park on FAU campuses. Any vehicle parked on campus must have an ePermit.

Please note that your Profile is NOT your permit!

See the permit types below for the lots each permit allows. All permit types can park in the All-Permit lots.

Blue (Commuter) ePermit Holders

As a commuter, you are assigned a blue virtual permit. You are allowed to park in all of the blue lots. Blue permitted vehicles may park in red lots between the hours of 6 PM and 7 AM�� unless otherwise posted. Overnight parking is not permitted.

Green (On-Campus Resident) ePermit Holders

As an on-campus residential student, you will be assigned a green ePermit. You are allowed to park in all of the green lots. Green permits may park in blue and red permit lots between the hours of 6 PM and 7 AM unless otherwise posted. PBSC lot 40 is off-limits to all green permits at all times.����

Black (Jupiter Campus Resident) ePermit Holders (Jupiter)

As a resident student in Jupiter, you will be assigned a black ePermit. You are allowed to park in the black lots on the Jupiter campus and the blue parking lots on all other FAU campuses.

How to obtain an ePermit:

1. Go to the Parking & Transportation Website
2. Click on “Parking Permits” in the Parking Menu/Submenu
3. Click on “Parking Login”
4. Click on the blue “FAU Parking Login” button
5. Sign in with your FAUNet ID and password
6. Click on the “Buy Permits” tile
7. Select from the drop down, the permit type assigned to you; If you believe there is an error in the permit type assigned, or there is an error, please contact us
8. Click “Buy” after selecting the permit type from the drop down
9. Fill out the form with your vehicle information
10. Click “Submit”
11. Check your email for a confirmation email that your permit is now in the Paid status. If you received this email you are all set

Changing Vehicles?

If you have a new, will be renting, or borrowing a vehicle that is not on your permit, you must add it to your parking permit to park it on campus. Once your access to the vehicle is over, you can remove it.

To make changes to your Selected Vehicles List:

1. Go to the Parking & Transportation Website
2. Click on “Parking Permits” in the Parking Menu/Submenu
3. Click on “Parking Login”
4. Click on the blue “FAU Parking Login” button
5. Sign in with your FAUNet ID and password
6. Click on the orange “My Permits” tile
7. Click “View” on your current active permit
8. Scroll down to your “Selected Vehicle” list and
   1. Find the “To Add a new vehicle, click here.” and click “here” to add a completely new vehicle to your profile
   2. Find the “To Add an existing vehicle…” and use the dropdown to use a vehicle already on your account
   3. Find the green pen icon to edit the current vehicle on your permit
   4. Find the trash can icon and click on it to remove a vehicle
9. Make the necessary changes and click “Save”; your vehicles should now appear under your Selected Vehicle list

Fort Lauderdale Campus

A parking hangtag is needed to park in the parking garage north of the HEC building. Contact our office to obtain a valid permit to park in the parking garage.

The area reserved for FAU students is located on the 6th floor, section A,C, E and on the roof top – 7th floor. Please contact our office to obtain a valid permit to park in the parking garage. Please be sure to become familiar with the Fort Lauderdale’s parking rules and regulations. If you receive a ticket in the garage, it is issued by the city, not �����Դ�ɼ���. Parking is available on a first come-first served basis and may not be reserved.��

Student vehicles are prohibited in the Flat Lot (immediately north of the HEC) from Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.

Students may park on the Flat lot (immediately north of the HEC) only between the hours of 6:00 pm and 5:00 am from Monday through Friday, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. A FAU ePermit must be active to park in this Flat Lot.

Any vehicle parked on campus must have an ePermit.

For those not affiliated with FAU, to obtain an ePermit, you must use our Pay-By-Plate systems. These include using our meters or the ParkMobile app or website.

Meters

Meters and Metered Lots (yellow lined parking spaces) are available for visitors coming to our campus for short periods of time. You can pay for the multispace meters at different locations around the campus. All meters on all FAU campuses are $2.50 per hour (cash is not accepted) and there are no refunds. All meters are enforced 24/7.
Only vehicles��without��an FAU ePermit will be allowed to park at the meters.�� If you have a problem with a meter please contact the office at 561-297-2771.

How do I use the Meter?

1. Note your license plate number
2. Press the start key on the keypad to activate the screen if it is blank
3. Press 1 to pay with a credit card
4. Enter your license plate number; make sure your license plate is entered correctly as your plate will act as your permit while on campus
5. Make payment with a credit card
6. Take the receipt (Retain the receipt in case you need to add time later); The receipt does not need to be displayed

I have a Meter Code; how do I use it?

1. Note your license plate number

Paying for parking via the ParkMobile app allows you to park in any yellow lot, blue lot or parking garage. All FAU campuses are $2.50 per hour (plus any applicable taxes and fees; cash is not accepted) and there are no refunds. Parking is enforced 24/7.

Paying Through the App?

1. Obtain the ParkMobile app on your device
2. Ensure your location is turned on; find your location on the map
3. Select the zone that identifies with the parking lot that you are parked in
4. Set your duration of how long you intend to park on campus
5. Insert your vehicle information; make sure your license plate is entered correctly as your plate will act as your permit while on campus
6. Proceed to Check Out and ensure all information entered is correct
7. Insert Payment Method and start your parking session
8. You can create an account to make future parking sessions even easier and faster!

Paying through the Web Browser?

1. Go to
2. On a smart device, click on the “Enter zone number” button
3. Enter the “Zone #” (see table below), ensuring that you are choosing FAU as the location if multiple options appear
4. Set your duration of how long you intend to park on campus
5. Chose a checkout method. If you don’t intend to park on campus again, you can check out as a guest

Volunteering on Campus

A volunteer is defined as any person performing hours of service for the University without promise, expectation, or receipt of compensation for services rendered and is not otherwise employed by the University in another department elsewhere or in a student capacity. For the purpose of this rule, a guest lecturer, teacher, or intern, is not considered a volunteer. ��

Volunteers will be issued BLUE commuter ePermits free of charge as long as appropriate documentation is provided by the respective department to the Office of Parking and Transportation.

An email must be submitted by the Department Supervisor to��faupark@fau.edu. Permits are issued by semester only!

Any vehicle parked on campus must have an ePermit.

FAU ePermits are available to those working on campus, but do not have an assigned ZNumber (ex. Chartwells, Follet, Exela). To obtain your permit, you must visit our office on the Boca Raton campus.

If you are a courtesy appointment, you must bring an offer letter denoting your position.

Please bring with you: an email address that works best for you, your name, your vehicle information (vehicle make, model, year, color, license plate, and license state), and a method of payment (card, check, or money order; no cash).

These ePermits will allow for parking in the RED or BLUE lots on campus.

All vehicles parked on campus must have a valid ePermit. This includes Motorcycles and Scooters (with license plates that are made to be driven on the main roads).

Students, Faculty, and Staff can obtain a motorcycle ePermit for $20 through your Parking Portal. Use the Quick Links>Parking Permits>Parking Login to obtain this permit. Once logged in, click on the blue “Buy Permits” tab and in the dropdown menu select “Motorcycle”. Complete the form and submit.

For contractor employees, vendors, and volunteers, you must email us at faupark@fau.edu or visit the��Parking and Transportation Office��with your motorcycle registration to obtain your ePermit. A motorcycle permit is $20.

Motorcycles and scooters must be parked in designated motorcycle parking areas. ��Each area is marked with a sign that clearly states "Motorcycle Parking Only". ��You may find motorcycle parking in the following lots:

Inquiries on scooters with no license plates, electric scooters, bicycles, skateboards, etc. must be taken to the housing department. /housing/communityguide/policies/
